200,000 masks of solidarity: the Comptoir des Tissus team and its partners tackle the Covid-19 epidemic
It was with great trepidation that we had to face the Covid-19 epidemic in the spring of 2020, when we were forced to close our shop in view of the general lockdown. But the Comptoir des Tissus team didn't stop there. Instead of resting, we reached out to associations and launched an initiative to supply the fabric needed to make an impressive number of masks, all in record time.
This challenge was met thanks to the inexhaustible talent of the seamstresses and dressmakers who worked tirelessly during this critical period. But these brave people, who have since become invaluable customers, have told us time and time again that our superior quality fabrics enabled them to work with ease and pleasure, even during long hours of labour.
In collaboration with various organisations such as the Groupe de Solidarité Masques Ouest Toulousain, dozens of town halls, including Saint-Alban, and companies such as GLS, we have been able to provide more than 200,000 masks to EHPADs, schools, employees and people in need.
The Comptoir des Tissus team would like to express its deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in any way in this altruistic initiative. Your support has enabled us to give the best of ourselves and to serve our community. We hope we have answered the call of those who needed us at this difficult time, and we are proud of the contribution we have made together.
The Comptoir des Tissus team.
